Our Pura Raza Espaņola

Much was written about the Pura Raza Espaņola - nearly just as much as against it. Hundreds of years of selection and clear guidelines under control of the Spanish military,"Cria Caballar" till 2007 (now organised by ANCCE ) watching over the documents and permissions of breeding guarantee the selection of these noble horses.
In the world are just two breeds allowed to get called "pure breed" - the Arabian and the Spanish. Readiness to perform, noblesse and much movement are probably the characteristics, which make these horses so versatile - for the high school, as reliable leisure horses and in all strains.

The type of the Andalusian changed in the course of the time somewhat - from the heavy, compact, very baroque horse with much upward motion in the front spar and, partly still with the "old Cartujano head" to a somewhat lighter, harmonious and also nobler horse with strong space seizing movements. The characteristics are still looked for and maintained. The Spanish horse is ever more strongly selected and the offspring generally even more selected and more ambitious.

On La Paz we attached much importance to the selection of the PRE breed on native ness - even with the mares, and with our stallions. We searched for "foundation", correct courses of motion, readiness to perform and noblesse. The young horses are born in the herd and grow freely in large herds in corals up to four years.
