MIJAS VILLAGE
The renowned village of Mijas lies directly above the Finca of Rancho La Paz, it is not only known for its "burrotaxi" (donkey routes) but for it Innumerable lanes with small businesses hidden amongst them. It is a very old and cultured village and extremely worthy of a visit.

FUENGIROLA
Right on the coast it boasts well maintained beaches, shopping and local events (depending on the time of year). It is a typical tourist spot Situated "just down the road" (5kms) from the finca .

BENALMADENA
Has a very beautiful marina and varied night life. Again the beaches are well maintained and worth the visit.

Directly behind the seaside resorts you will find villages and towns such as Coin, Alhaurin, Casarabonela or Alora.Situated in unspoiled countryside, the life in these localities is "on the Plaza" in small ventas You can sample home cooked foods and delicacies from different areas.

MALAGA
Unfortunately doesn't has too much but in the town centre the shopping is extensive. There is the Picasso Museum and various historic buildings.

MARBELLA
Southwest of the finca, it is known as the city of "dreams and beautiful People. In the last few years it has changed a lot and one finds the city centre well maintained with select businesses and shopping centres.

PUERTO BANUS
Is known as the most beautiful and most expensive sail hunt port on the Mediteranean. In summer the businesses are open day and night. Beside the port you can find the Corte Ingles: the largest shopping center in Spain.

RONDA
Draws visitors from all over the world. It boasts the oldest bullring (1785), the 18th century Tajo which separates the city into two parts and the Arab Baths (13th-14th century).
Its particular charm is in the small lanes with its antique shops and leather and shoe outlets.

GRANADA
To reach Granada you must drive somewhat further. There are good roads and they are well sign posted. It really is a must to visit the ALHAMBRA and the GENERALIFE. Allow a full day as there is a lot To take in, should you have time a visit to the Gypsy quarter in the old part of town is recommended. A secret tip is the trout streams by the side of the roads! CORDOBA AND SEVILLA

Being as you are already in Andalucia it is a must to visit the Riding School of Jerez, on firm days (mostly Thursday) they give the "Performance of the Dancing Horses" and afterwards you will still have time to visit the Bodegas which lie in direct proximity of the school. During wine sampling guidance is given in any European language. On the return trip can make and intermediate stop in ALCALA, a small quaint village where you can not only sample the local food, but also visit the local traditional upholsterer. There is also GIBRALTAR which has its attractions, one needless to say is the duty free shopping.

The coast offers many more attractions. There are enormous water Parks, the well know SELWO - an open adventure animal park with free-living wild animals (and natives!), the large acquariums in Benalmadena and much more. The Costa is your oyster!
